You know we're not actually nocturnal, right?

[She sits for a moment. Lets Cass rest. Checks her phone. And then pulls the blanket off of her.]

[ cass just groans, rolling to lie flat on her back, finally opening her eyes to look up at steph. ]

Why. [ BETRAYAL???? but really waking up next to her is. nice.

..... and then she starts remembering bits of the dream. ]

Cause I could.

[She laughs lightly, a little thrown off by how familiar and easy this feels, even more than normal. It's not like they've really slept together like this often, what with her mom and secret identities and things like that. And still, it's like... deja vu? Sleepy dream deja vu?]

[cassassin]

Hmm. [ she smiles, despite herself. ] Can't argue with that.

[ this really does feel more normal than it ought to, not that she's complaining. just... give her a second for the dream to start clicking. cass finally sits up, stretching. ]

Sleep okay?

Yeah, though maybe next time I should put on some pajamas before we completely collapse.

[Even with the belts and stuff removed, PJs are still more comfy than superhero costumes.]

Mm. [ she nods, yawning. ] Had a dream. Felt... real. You were there?

Huh. Pretty sure you were in mine too...

[What a weird coincidence.]

So what'd I do in yours? Fight dinosaurs, save the world, fail a test?

[cassassin]

[ she scrubs a hand through her hair. maybe her face is turning kind of pink? shut up. cass doesn't know how much she should say here. ]

We were... older? Talking. Your mom was... in the next room. It was nice. Normal.

Oh. [That sounds familiar. Way too familiar.]

Normal dreams are nice. But I had one where I was older and also Nightwing which I guess is kinda normal for us, but also that wasn't the dream I just had... I mean, it was a dream I've had, but my dream now was different actually. Although who knows maybe I was still Nightwing? Every dream could be a dream where I'm Nightwing and I never realized it.

[This is her way of avoiding saying that she had the same dream.]

Steph, what... [ she's. still laughing over it, though. she reaches out to just kind of bap steph's cheek, super lightly. ] You lost me.

[*is bapped*

Steph grabs a pillow and hugs it close to her chest, letting out a small sigh/yawn.]

Sorry, I think I'm less awake than I thought...

[cassassin]

[ cass giggles at that, though it turns into another yawn. damn it, it's contagious. she lies back down on her side and attempts to pull steph down with her, smiling at her. ]

Some more sleep then? Never hurts, with our jobs...
